Just The Way You Are

Steve, Max and I were watching American Idol the other night and Scott MacIntyre (who is Max's favorite contestant, by the way) sang the Billy Joel classic Just The Way You Are. Unfortunately, this song has died a million Muzak deaths, but I still love it. If you really listen to it, and try to forget all the elevators you've heard it in, I think you may feel the same.

I grew up on Billy Joel, and I love him, despite all his faults (most of which took place in the late 80's and early nineties). In my humble opinion this is one of the best love songs ever written because it reminds me of how it feels to be married to Steve, who sees all my good, bad, and ugly, and loves me anyway. Isn't that what it's all about?
