Yesterday I think I really saw our new house for the first time in many, many months, and you know what? I love it. Really. I love the exterior color that turned out more avocado than sage, the wood floors that have yet to arrive, the half finished kitchen that one day will be amazing. This moment of clarity reminded me of one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite groups, The Holly Cole Trio. It's a remake of an oldie but I love her jazz twist on it, and today it just sums up the way I feel:
